It is with great sadness that we report the death of Lewis Llewellyn Lewis, who died on 22nd December 2017.
Lewis spent the whole of his working career with the firm now known as Brabners, starting as an articled clerk when the firm was known as Toulmin, Hodgson and Brabner and retiring in 1994 after many years as senior partner. Throughout his career Lewis was known for his thoroughness and for his attention to detail. Following retirement Lewis continued working for some years as a Tribunal Chairman.
Lewis was articled to Joe Hodgson and in due course succeeded to and continued much of Joe’s practice. In Joe’s later years Lewis provided help and support to Joe in the management of his affairs and continued to help Elizabeth after Joe’s death. In that capacity Lewis played an important role in helping Elizabeth to formulate the ideas which in due course developed into the Charitable Trust which funds the Hodgson Scholarships in memory of Joe and Elizabeth.
