Ja'far is an enthusiastic and engaging student who completed his law degree at the University of Liverpool. Coming from Jordan to study law in the UK has opened numerous opportunities for Ja’far, which he works hard to seek and obtain.

Between all the 9.00am lectures and long nights at the library, Ja’far managed to get involved in many University activities, both on and off campus. He was a module representative, a course representative, and a Student Experience Committee representative. He also obtained a Commercial Awareness Certificate from BPP University, in addition to an advanced online research certificate from LexisNexis Library and WestLaw. Ja’far was also President of the University of Liverpool Arab Society, and a member of the Bar Society. Furthermore, he participated in the Street Law Program to inspire local school pupils in Liverpool about the law. In his final year at the University Ja’far volunteered with the Liverpool Law Clinic as a student advisor and as an interpreter for Arabic clients.

Ja’far is very grateful to receive the Hodgson Scholarship to study the LLM Master of Law programme at the University of Liverpool. Currently Ja’far is an active member of Aspiring Solicitors, the Advocacy Society, the Legal Conversations & Research Society, and the Human Rights and International Law Unit in the University of Liverpool Law School. He is also holding the position of an Ex-Officio of the Arab Society, and a judge at the Bar society mooting competition. Ja’far is also involving in the new Orgreave Pro Bono Project at Liverpool Law Clinic.
