Other information: Sameeah completed her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree under the prestigious University of London International Programme and graduated with an upper second class degree. Sameeah was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister in 2014 from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, having completed the Bar Professional Training Course from Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK. Sameeah is a qualified District Court Advocate in Bangladesh Bar Council. Besides studying Sameeah has undertaken multiple work experiences and internships both in Bangladesh and in the UK. In 2012 Sameeah was a Legal Intern with the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the premium bourse in Bangladesh. She worked as a Legal Associate with a law firm dealing in commercial and corporate law in Bangladesh. Sameeah also has experience working in the non-profit sector, such as working as a facilitator with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2014, where she facilitated for Judicial Strengthening (JUST) project in the review process of the report on ‘Business Process Mapping’ of Civil process of the subordinate courts of Bangladesh.
Prior to being awarded Hodgson Law Scholarship and joining the Liverpool John Moores University, Sameeah was working as a Project Assistant at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development under BRAC University, a major think tank that focuses on regulatory, supervisory and governance issues in Bangladesh. While at the University, Sameeah acted as the Course Representative for her LLM course. She has a passion for debating and mooting and successfully competed in the Inner temple Debating Competition held in Liverpool in November 2014 and was a semi-finalist in the internal mooting competition of Liverpool John Moores. Currently Sameeah is working part-time with a personal injury law firm in Liverpool as a Legal Assistant. Sameeah hopes to pursue her career at the Bar of England and Wales in the future and has a passion for Corporate Litigation.
